KATE FRIEND is a photographer, editor, writer and PUBLISHER. Kate is also founder / director of the arts publication MOTHER magazine.
Recent clients and publications include Condé Nast, SSENSE, Dover Street Market, Toast, Glassnote Records, 66° NORTH, i-D / Vice, The Sunday Times, The Wall Street Journal, Dazed and NOWNESS.
Born in the UK, Kate spent her early career abroad working on documentary photographic projects across Mongolia and China, where she learnt to speak Mandarin and began her ten-year working relationship with Asia. Kate has lived and worked in London, New York, Beijing, Berlin, Paris, Tokyo, Iceland and Indonesia. Exhibitions include a solo show at Blacks Club on Dean Street, London.
